Who this is for

If your company has a UAE trade licence, corporate tax applies to you.

UAE corporate tax applies to mainland and free zone companies alike, and registration is mandatory regardless of profit. Late registration and late filing carry FTA penalties, and returns require proper accounts, a tax computation and the right elections, including Small Business Relief where you qualify.

We take the whole cycle off your desk: registration on the EmaraTax portal, accounts and computation, the return itself, and answering the FTA if they come back with questions. As a registered tax agency we can act for you directly.

  • Companies that have not registered yet or have received an FTA notice
  • Businesses with a first corporate tax return due
  • Free zone companies working out qualifying income and the 0% rate
  • Groups and companies with multiple licences needing one filing plan
Filed on time, every time.
The expensive part of corporate tax is missing a deadline.

Late registration alone carries an AED 10,000 penalty, and late returns add more. We diarise your deadlines, prepare early and file ahead of the date, so the only amount you pay the FTA is the tax itself.

Questions

Corporate tax FAQs

Does my company need to register for corporate tax?
Yes, almost every company holding a UAE licence must register with the FTA, including free zone companies and companies expecting to pay no tax. Registration is separate from VAT registration.
What is the corporate tax rate in the UAE?
Taxable income up to AED 375,000 is taxed at 0% and income above that at 9%. Qualifying free zone persons can be taxed at 0% on qualifying income, and Small Business Relief may apply where revenue is under AED 3 million. We confirm which applies to you.
When is the corporate tax return due?
Within nine months of the end of your financial year, with any tax paid by the same date. A company with a December year end files by 30 September of the following year.
What is the penalty for late registration or late filing?
Late registration carries an AED 10,000 penalty, and late returns attract further monthly penalties. If you have already missed a date, contact us first, in some cases penalty waivers have been available.
Can ZS deal with the FTA for me?
Yes. ZS Chartered Accountants is an FTA Approved Tax Agency, which means we can be appointed as your tax agent and correspond with the FTA on your behalf.
What does corporate tax filing cost?
It depends on your company's size and how complete your accounts are, so we quote a fixed fee upfront once we see your trade licence and latest accounts. No hourly billing and no surprises.
